Shopping for Easter Outfits with #MyHartstrings
Every year as Easter approaches I wonder about what the kids will wear. We aren’t really a church going family so they don’t generally have nice clothes to wear for the family “formal” family day we do. My mother in law usually finds them the cutest stuff to where but this year I decided that we would getting them something on our own.
I looked around at a couple of places but didn’t really see anything that caught my eye until I looked at #MyHartstrings! I really loved the newer site design that they did. For me personally it seemed to make it easier to find everything I was looking for. I originally wanted the dress below for Emaree but once I saw that they had a “Brother Sister” tab I couldn’t help myself.
Once Chris and I agreed on a dress for Emmie and a Sweater vest(I love sweater vests!) for Landon I headed for the check out. When I first went to the website a box popped up for my email with a 10% off coupon. I have that for next time since I already had a 20% coupon to use. It really saved us a nice little chunk!
Another thing I was really happy about was that with the dress, after Easter, if Emmie wanted she could use it to be “Tangled” as she calls it. I paid a little more for shipping but it was to ensure that it got here in time so I could try it Emmie first. She has a wide range of size depending on the brand of clothing. Once it got here, about three days after my shipping notification, I was pleased with the fit.
It zipped easily and gave her room to grow. I can’t tell you how hard it is to find clothes that will fit for an extended period with Emmie’s unique build. I really loved Landon’s Sweater vest. I tried it with a black shirt and a lighter pair of jeans but I wasn’t really feeling it. I think for Easter we will actually go with a white undershirt and a darker wash of jeans.
I’m very excited for Easter dinners so I can show off their cute little outfits to our families. I know Emmie is really excited to wear her dress again to! Be sure to check out Hartstrings as well as follow them on twitter and facebook!
